We are looking for an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) Manager to lead a dynamic team of BDRs targeting key sectors such as transportation, field services, and construction. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who thrives on coaching and driving results, helping the team generate and qualify new sales opportunities, while collaborating with the broader sales team to accelerate pipeline growth and revenue generation.


As the BDR Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coaching a team of BDRs focused on outbound sales efforts within the vocational sector. You will drive the execution of lead-generation strategies, help prioritize target accounts, and work with field sales to ensure alignment between prospecting efforts and sales goals. Your leadership will directly impact pipeline growth by motivating the team to identify, engage, and qualify prospects for conversion into sales opportunities.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Manage and mentor a team of BDRs to meet and exceed prospecting and conversion goals.
  • Provide ongoing training and coaching to develop team members’ cold-calling, prospecting, and qualification skills.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews to provide feedback, set goals, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Drive outbound prospecting campaigns targeting vocational accounts, including transportation, construction, and field services.
  • Collaborate with the field sales team to define target accounts and ensure alignment with overall sales strategy.
  • Review and refine messaging strategies based on team feedback, market insights, and objections encountered in outreach.
  • Oversee the qualification process for leads generated by the BDR team and ensure timely scheduling of discovery meetings with account executives.
  • Ensure the team maintains accurate and up-to-date records of prospecting activity and outcomes in CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
  • Help identify trends in the market, objections, and key decision-makers to refine outreach efforts and improve team performance.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, and Product) to define and prioritize high-value accounts.
  • Analyze team performance data and market feedback to report on key metrics and suggest improvements for better results.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of experience in outbound business development or sales management.
  • Proven experience in managing a sales development team, with a focus on lead generation and outbound prospecting.
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills, with a track record of driving measurable results in a B2B sales environment.
  • Experience in cold calling, qualification, and sales pipeline development in the B2B space.
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills, with the ability to engage with mid-level and senior decision-makers in the vocational sector.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and tools like LinkedIn for building targeted prospect lists.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A results-oriented, energetic, and persistent mindset.
  • Experience or interest in the vocational sectors such as transportation, logistics, or field services is a strong plus.
